The Bee's Knees

I just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Cormac McCarthy is now the bee's knees. Go out and read that book. I have been told his other books are great too. He does it all right; everything that they have been telling us is good to do in class he does. The prose is simple yet rich; descriptive and specific but written in strong, simple sentences. It moves the reader in a way that would make Stephen King proud, had it been a short story and not a novel. It was speculative fiction without a whit of science needed to prop it up. Stunning.
